On a cold moring in winter, I took a drive out through the Stirlings to meet Tim Harris, at his farm near Katanning. Tim had been nominated for a National Landcare Award for his outstanding leadership as a young farmer, promoting conservation and sustainable land management practices in his community of Katanning and beyond.
Tim’s work in the community includes being a volunteer member of the Lake Ewlyamartup Working Group (LEWG), who are leading a community-driven project to restore water quality in a local lake through engineering and catchment based solutions. And as a guitarist for popular local rock band “40 Kays Out”, has the ear and respect of his peers.
These photos taken for Landcare Australia appeared in a number of publications including an Eastern State’s In-Flight magazine.
